Jackson's first quilt
Something old makes something new
This quilt was made using an orphan square in the center. Then adding the red and cream fabric to fill in to the size of the orphaned border. Quilting in the center is 1/4" hexing. 1/2" in the cream with trapunto . And 1/2" in the border. The trpunto design was designed by Karen Phillips-Swhallon. I also added antique orange fabric to the outside border to tie the border to the orange in the center square.
