I love the look of it, cheerful and free-spirited. I would maybe put Gwen Marston-style applique borders on it - a different pattern on each side. I love her applique quilts, they are just like this !
how about just quilting it and making it a little quilt? I think though I would like to see a border on it even just a red fabric... whatever you decide to do with this block I am sure it will be beautiful Kathie
It would make a great wall hanging with a pieced border in red. I've been reading back on your blog and was delighted to see your trapunto work which is gorgeous. Maybe you would consider a post on how you tackle that?
I like Sue's suggestions but you could also do a smaller medallion quilt. Isn't it a lively block?!
ReplyDeleteI think whatever you do it will be beautiful. You could just quilt it and then frame it.

I agree with the ones that say medallion this block really needs to be the center of attention. It is gorgeous and a great challenge
ReplyDeleteI just came to look to see if you decided what to do with this block I have been thinking about it the past few days!!!!

ReplyDeleteA small medallion quilt would be wonderful. The block could stand alone in a pillow or framed too.
