He's wonderful! I have found it hard to get weight on them once they have spent too much time in kennels. I had one are weighing in at only 56pounds, I got her up to about 70 but never much above that. He will be so grateful to you, they know who made their lives change. I love him already, can't wait for more photos of this chap.
Good luck I rescued Boomer when he was about 5 months old. The vet says, Half-Great Dane, Half Pit-Bull. DH calls him the Not-So-Great Dane! He's stubborn, dis-obedient, and willful, but also sweet and cuddly. Like any good Dane, he likes to back into you and sit on you. Boomer is now 4 and somewhat better, but still a handful. Good luck with Duke!
Duke is one handsome fellow. A Great Dane is my dream dog, someday. Always liked the black and white ones, remind me of my days raising holsteins as a kid. Enjoy him!

What lovely colourings he has! A friend would only ever own Great Danes, such gentle giants. Hope he quickly settles into his new home and parents.
