Antique Applique Quilt TOP
76" x 92"
Entirely handmade, including the stitched long seams--tiny stitching -Meticulous applique work which is...
...minutely top-stitched at the very edge of each piece
21-inch blocks, diagonally set--note that the stitcher opted not to add rosebuds to one of the two side twining borders!
This is a beautiful quilt top! And I love the thrifty pieced blocks.....a quilter after my own heart! :o)
ReplyDeleteI am a complete push over for a red and green quilt! Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. On my blog I just posted a small bit of fabric. I was trying to get an age? If you have time to stop and look? Thanks
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog and looking at that oiece of fabric. I really enjoy the purple and roses in it. It has been fun for me to find pieces and blocks that are before 1875. Thanks again very kind of you
